This morning, we woke up and checked out of our hotel. (The family gave the hotel a 6, and the breakfast a 7). We came over to Rick and Carol’s house. They have a really fun house right on a lake. Ryan took each of the kids out on their little boat, and rowed them around the lake. I even got to go for a “romantic” boat ride--which Karen came along for. It was funny because we came out from under a bridge, and Rick, Ariann, and Kailey were on the bridge singing “Kiss the Girl”, from the Little Mermaid. For lunch we went to a Mexican restaurant called “Mazatlan”. It was good food, but mostly fun just being together. When we came back, we went back down to the beach. It was crowded. There were people riding horses in the sand, and people flying kites, and people jogging. We built a huge sandcastle. We played with big kelp “whips”. We ate sunflower seeds and spit them in the sand. It was cold, I wish I would have packed sweats for the beach, but-- even freezing-- we had so much fun. After, we came back to Rick and Carols for some delicious pie and ice cream.
