Some beautiful girls with some beautiful trees
Cameron and the dental office, where we ate lunch
SO Pretty!
A park in Montesano, WA
T.G.F.E.(thank goodness for earplugs). In sharing a cramped hotel room with a family this size-- ya learn things about each other. For example, my children talk in their sleep-- loudly. One of the children tosses and turns ALL night, and another sleep walks. Before bed, I decided to put my luggage in front of the door (to prevent any wierdies from coming in-- or any sweeties from going out.). I turned to see that Ryan had already done it. It is a good thing we’re married, because I’m sure in love with that guy! We left Ontario just before 9 in the morning. This was a beautiful drive-- lots of rolling hills and green forests. The children were amazing in the car, and we made really good time. In fact, we were so ahead of schedule, we decided to cancel our hotel in Yakima, WA, and go on the additional “4 hours” to our final destination. We spent most of the day driving past beautiful vineyards and through lush National forests. We stopped in Richland for lunch-- more homemade ham and cheese sandwiches (eaten on the front lawn of a dental office because we couldn’t find a park)-- and got back on the road as soon as possible. This is where things get sticky! We seemed to hit every traffic jam, construction zone, and get stuck behind every slow-poke in the state, including some road-rage between a biker gang and an RV. We didn’t want to stop for dinner, so we had peanut butter an jelly sandwiches, made on the road. (I know-- you must be thinking , ‘Boy, those DeGraws really have a taste for fine cuisine.’ We were cutting costs where we could, plus it was Sunday, so we didn’t want to have to go anywhere. ) The last 3 hours of the trip had AMAZING scenery, but we all had a major case of cabin fever, and achy bodies, (we were pretty much miserable). We were all very happy to see our hotel in Ocean Shores.

Hey! Richland is part of the tri-cities (Kennewick & Pasco) Howard Amon Park is right on the snake river. It's a great park for kids with this amazing playground and giant sturgeon fish. (Just a note for future reference. Also a good place for eating peanut butter & jelly sandwiches)
Next time you go through Richland and have some time, I'm sure Ben and Sabrina would love to see you (live in West Richland).
