We started July with a family reunion. It was a camp out at Heise. I am not a fan of camping. I have a hard time seeing the appeal in being dirty, sleeping crappy, and trudging through the wilderness in the middle of the night to use the disgusting potties down the road. Call me a pretty princess, but it's true. However, I did enjoy spending time with family. I reconnected with some cousins that I hadn't seen for a long time.

We spent most of the month down in Bountiful. The children all took swim lessons. They did so well, and really enjoyed swimming AT LEAST once a day.
We went to the 24th of July float preview party, and the 24th of July parade. It was especially fun to see a float that my parents had spent hundreds of hours working on as part of a Stake committee.

Thanks to my Mom and Dad's awesome connections, we got to drive this sweet ride up and down the street 5 gazillion times. By the end, the children were waving and throwing otter pops like they were parade professionals.

And now for the highlight of the playground... the slidey toy. EVERYONE took a turn on the slidey toy. It provided some great entertainment. EVERYONE tried some great poses. It would have been really sad and embarrassing if there would have been a gal whose measly noodle arms couldn't lift her fat buttocks off the ground. Luckily, there aren't any wimps in this bunch!

We went to the Hogle Zoo. We each had our own "favorite" things to see, but the polar bear was by far the biggest hit. He liked to come right up to the glass. Cameron can now say that he has been "nose to nose" with a polar bear.
We also went bowling, raised some butterflies from tiny caterpillars, rented movies, shopped, played games with Brian and Carol (and Bailey). The best part of the vacation was seeing the love between cousins, and siblings, and grandparents. It was one wild (but awesome) par-tay!
