Yesterday we went to Mesa Falls. It is about 40 minutes from where we live. It is a gorgeous drive-- although a few of the curvy roads with huge drop-offs on the edge were giving me a full fledged panic attack! Thank goodness Ryan is such a fabulous driver!
Most of us love hiking. One of us, however, could be considered more of an "indoor gal" -- see if you can spot the look of pure joy on that particular someone's face. I'm not naming any names, but I will give you a hint. It is the person wearing a dress, flip flops, and carrying a fashion umbrella. Later, when I reminded this particular gal that she was one of the children that voted to go to Mesa Falls, she informed me that she thought we said we were going

Falls! The hike started out good (while we were in the parking lot), then it went a bit south for "the indoor gal" (at the exact instant that the trail started to get dust in her flip-flops), then -- once we got back onto paved trail, all the world was right again.

It was such a beautiful day! We enjoyed seeing a few of the things in the visitors center, then we had a picnic (in the car, because there were mosquitoes in the picnic area). Hmmm? I just can't seem to figure out where "the indoor gal" gets it from?

Great post! Glad you nudged the idea of zooming in on the one pic. -- laughed even harder than expected. Loved the fashion umbrella, had to smile at the miscommunication between shopping in Idaho falls! Sure glad her and my girly girl are such great cousin friends... A perfect match. Can't wait to see you guys soon!
